Rocky's Radio is a family business that was established in June 1956. The business was built on a foundation of honesty and good service.

We have our own electronics workshop where we repair TV's, VCR's, hi-fi systems and CCTV security systems. It has been our motto from the outset not to sell "grey" or "parallel imported" goods because these goods do not have a factory guarantee, and the availability of spares cannot be guaranteed. This is important in building confidence and providing a good service to our clients.

We do Insurance replacements for Santam, Mutual & Federal and Commercial Union to name but a few. Our prices are very competitive, mainly because we buy through the "Shaw" buying group and our overheads are kept low due to the fact that we own the premises from which we operate.

We are stockists of a full range of TV's, VCR's, Hi-fi systems, video cameras, still cameras, large and small domestic appliances, microwave ovens, fridges, washing machines etc.

Some of the Brand names that we stock are: Philips, Panasonic, Technics, JVC, Sanyo, Samsung, AEG, Defy and many more. We are agents for a few specialised lines e.g. Yamaha hi-fi systems, Marantz Hi-Fi components, Bose Loudspeaker systems and Kef speakers which we demonstrate in our Sound Studio.

We also have access to personal computers and printers at competitive prices from Mustek (Mecer) and Pinnacle Micro (Proline). Our expertise in the electronic field has helped us establish a sound base with prestigious clients for the supply, installation and maintenance of CCTV systems for both security and process control. Some of these clients include Impala Platinum Ltd., Anglo Vaal Mining, Hernic Ferrochrome, Samancor and Bateman-Titaco.
